Identity for the Australia-based mechanical airconditioning company Duomec. Done in collaboration with Andrew Osman. We let the materials and mechanics used in mechanical airconditioning determine the design — A copper pantone naturally becomes the brand colour (copper pipes being used extensively in mechanical airconditioning), hexagonal nuts and valves informed the shape. Incidentally, the hexagon is also the base shape for snowflakes, the universal symbol for cold, which we have placed in the eye of a cooling whirlwind.
